Lighthouse Foundation has successfully supported over 900 young people to break the cycle of homelessness, move into employment and educational opportunities, and overcome damaging life experiences.
They provide homeless young people from backgrounds of neglect and abuse, with a home, a sense of family, and around-the-clock therapeutic care that is individually tailored, trauma-informed, and proven to work.
2019 presented a new opportunity for Lighthouse through a Foster Care model. This was the catalyst to develop the brand to not only honour the organisation they have grown into but also set the foundations for future growth.
Working closely with Lighthouse we revealed the brand needed to be modern, relevant, and inspiring – while staying true to Lighthouses’ core principles of addressing trauma, nurturing total wellbeing, and providing a caring community for life at its core.
This became the foundation of the new brand platform with the brand idea ‘Side by side’ born from an internal Lighthouse expression ‘Withnessing’ – meaning to see, hear, know and feel it with our young people, together, side-by-side.
The flexible system allows internal teams to create communications that are true to the brand and reflective of their audience, as well as provide stretch for external agencies to apply the brand across complex campaign ideas and channels.
Equipped with their new brand, Lighthouse, and their partners and communities are now a shining light for their young people to heal and thrive with them together, today, tomorrow, and beyond.
The design solution for the visual identity is more than skin deep, with every element of the refreshed identity given renewed purpose and meaning. This has been delivered through a simple and flexible kit of parts to ensure the brand can be implemented with integrity and success with minimal cost and ease, whilst also making a big impact.
