Description

The supply and install of over a 1000 fabric wrapped acoustic panels to a 6 storey Atrium in a 1960’s building that had reached the end of its useful life.

The end result being a major infrastructure for the University of Melbourne creating a new dynamic teaching space for both teachers and students alike.

Key Features

1

Our brief was to supply and install a multitude of fabric wrapped Acoustic panels with various sizes, angles and shapes.

Initial prototypes saw changes in both design and the physical means of installing these panels from the walls, ceilings and the underside of the staircases.

2

It was at this point that we realized that the current proprietary hanging systems for ceiling panels were not adequate for our needs and we designed our own.

3

The end result was a product that comprised linear symmetry, was aesthetically pleasing and reduced the noise level in an extremely busy environment.
