Rogerseller introduces Amélie, a contemporary interpretation of the traditional claw-foot bath. Inspired by a traditional chaise lounge ‘the Méridienne’, a 19th century French name given to an asymmetrical daybed with higher headrest and lower footrest. Designed to be a furniture piece, the clean lines and fine edges provide a sense of lightness, while the lounge-like wrap around head & lumbar support promotes comfort and relaxation. The continuous surface presents seamless contours which flow into the narrow stainless steel legs. – Amélie designed and manufactured by Rogerseller, is a unique character that will make a modest statement to the bathroom.
A uniquely designed free-standing bath – carefully refined aesthetic to make a statement with a sense of timelessness which doesn\’t detract attention from surrounding objects.
Adopting the use of the high-quality grade Lucite acrylic material combined with an intricate reverse thermo-forming technique enables Amélie to be produced cost-effectively to a premium standard.
Lucite acrylic is lightweight, warm to touch, and is exceptionally strong, durable, scratch and chemical resistant. Lucite can be repaired on-site if subject to damage, extending the life of the product.
All materials have carefully selected to minimise the impact to the environment through the use of recyclable and non-hazardous composites.
Ergonomic lumber support at each end for two persons, designed to be at the optimal angle to provide comfort and back support
Includes a waste installation kit, designed at a height to be invisible in most room applications
Since launching in October 2013, Amélie has proven to be successful in the market place reaching already fifty percent of it’s projected first-year sales, and also specified in a number of large scale residential projects currently in development.
The unique design of Amélie has given Rogerseller a competitive advantage in the marketplace and will encourage the continuing support of in-house design addressing the needs of the local market.
